How to get better mpg in a chevrolet trailblazer ss?

Doesn't that have an LS under the hood? I don't think anything will result in better gas mileage to tell you the truth. Maybe swapping tires to LRRs and getting a mild tune will help but neither option is going to be cheap. Spending 700 bucks to save a couple bucks a fill up isn't really cost effective unless you're an outside salesperson.
